1. The price formula
Final price = derivation cost + your profit + IMVU’s 10%. You only control the profit. Compare similar items in the Catalog first, then set a profit that keeps your final price in the same range.
2. The two-version trick
IMVU’s own advice: publish a plain, cheap derivable version so other creators build on it and pay you a cut of each sale, and a separate premium, non-derivable version with your best textures for buyers. One product, two income streams.
3. Pick a niche
- Rooms and furniture sell all year and have fewer sellers than clothing.
- Themes (royal, gothic, cosy, club) let you sell matching sets.
- Colour ranges: the same piece in 6 to 8 colours fills a shop page fast.
4. Grow past derives
