Access Pass (AP) is IMVU’s 18+ upgrade. You can get it in two ways: buy it with a credit or debit card in your own name, or verify your age first and then pay 20,000 credits. Age Verification costs US $5.50.
What AP unlocks
According to IMVU’s help center, Access Pass unlocks:
- About 3.7 million extra items in the IMVU Shop
- About 100,000 AP-only rooms, plus AP-only groups
- The AP Daily Spin, where you can win AP clothing
- AP-only avatar actions (on IMVU Classic, with another AP user in a chat room)
You must be 18 or older. AP cannot be gifted to another user.
Option 1: Buy AP with a card
You can buy Access Pass on the IMVU website or the IMVU Classic website. IMVU only accepts a bank-issued credit or debit card that you personally own, because the card proves you are 18+.
Option 2: Age Verification + 20,000 credits
This is the route for players without a credit card.
- Log in on the IMVU Classic website and open Upgrades.
- Choose Age Verification from the drop-down and buy the Age Verification token (US $5.50).
- Follow the steps from Yoti, IMVU’s verification partner. Have a valid ID ready, use a working camera in a well-lit room, and be ready to take a selfie and a photo of your ID.
- When you see the green Age Verified badge on your profile card, go to imvu.com/accesspass and buy AP for 20,000 credits.
Already age verified? Skip straight to the last step. You do not need to verify again.
Can I use promo credits for AP?
No. IMVU says only “real” credits work for the 20,000 credit price. Promotional credits from offers and surveys do not count.
Is age verification available outside the US?
Yes. IMVU’s verification partner works worldwide. On Android and web, some users can also use Age Estimation, which estimates your age from a selfie.
Watch out for AP scams
Nobody can sell you AP on a different account or “transfer” AP to you. AP cannot be gifted. Never give your password to anyone who offers cheap AP.
