File license
Buying a file from IMVU Only gives you a non-exclusive license for one IMVU shop, identified by the avatar name and CID you enter at checkout. Files sold by other sellers follow the seller’s own license, shown on their page.
You can
- Upload the files in IMVU Create Mode and publish products in your licensed shop
- Recolor and edit the textures
- Combine the files with your own work
You cannot
- Resell, share, gift or post the files anywhere, on any platform
- Set products made from the files to derivable
- Use the files in an alt shop or any shop other than the licensed CID
Some models are based on Creative Commons (CC BY 4.0) work. Their product pages show a credit line, and you must keep that line in your IMVU product description.
FAQ
Where are my files? After you order, we email you a secure payment link. Your download link arrives right after payment.
Do you need my password? No. We only need the avatar name of the shop that will publish the files.
How do I upload them? Each download has a guide: derive from a blank derivable furniture or clothing item in Create Mode, load the skeleton (.xsf), mesh (.xmf) and textures, then save and submit.
Something looks wrong in IMVU? Send us a screenshot. If a sit node or texture is off, we fix the file and send you the update for free.
Refunds? Files are digital downloads, so we cannot refund once the download link has been used. We will always fix a broken file.
Are these files from IMVU? No. Every file is original work made by IMVU Only or by the listed seller. IMVU Only is not affiliated with IMVU Inc.
