How IMVU accessory files work
An IMVU accessory is a small mesh tied to one attachment point on the avatar, such as the right hand, the head or the neck. Each of our files comes with the mesh (.xmf), an attachment skeleton (.xsf) for the right point, the material file and textures in several colors. You derive from IMVU’s own Empty Female Accessory (product 56816049), which has no derivation fee, so every credit of your markup is yours.
- Derive a new product from the Empty Female Accessory.
- Upload the skeleton and set the attachment point named in the file’s guide.
- Add the mesh and texture, pick a color, save and try it on.
Every file is licensed to one IMVU shop (CID) and keeps its CC BY credit line. Full terms on the license page. New bags, necklaces, hats and glasses are added every week.
