Limited Edition (LE) items are IMVU’s official rare collectibles. Each LE design has a fixed number of copies set by its creator, and once they are gone no more are made. You buy LE items in the Shop with VCOIN, and unlike normal catalog items you can resell them, with the original creator getting a share of each resale.
LE items replaced IMVU NFTs
On January 30, 2026 IMVU removed the blockchain part of its NFTs and turned all existing NFTs into Limited Edition products. They kept their rarity, but they now live only inside IMVU.
What you get
- A gold LE badge on your profile and a gold username.
- Your LE items appear in a Limited Edition category in your inventory.
- Other players can tap your LE badge to see which LE items you own.
How buying works
- Open the Limited Edition (LE) category in the Shop, or buy from a player wearing and selling an LE item in a Live Room on IMVU Mobile.
- Pay with VCOIN. VCOIN you earn from Gigs or receive as a gift also works.
- You can buy only one LE item per purchase and own only one item from the same LE set at a time.
- LE items cannot be gifted, but you can gift VCOIN.
Who can buy
Anyone who can buy VCOIN. Some countries and US states cannot buy or withdraw VCOIN, but players there can still use VCOIN that was gifted to them. Check IMVU’s VCOIN country list before you start.
Why LE beats the black market
LE trades happen inside IMVU, so the item lands in your inventory automatically and nobody can run off with your payment. That is the big difference from Discord trades, where you pay a stranger and hope.
