Which VIP tier is worth it?
- Gold is for players who want the VIP badge and a few extra credits.
- Platinum is the tier IMVU calls its most popular. It is the cheapest tier that removes ads, gives 5% off the catalog and opens the Creator Program.
- Diamond fits hosts and streamers who need more rooms and unlimited live features.
- Emerald makes sense if you already buy a lot of credits every month. 30,000 credits a month is far more than the lower tiers give.
Why do I get fewer credits on mobile?
IMVU gives different monthly credit amounts depending on where you subscribe. Web subscriptions get more credits than mobile app subscriptions for the same tier.
Can I switch tiers?
Yes. You do not need to cancel first. Buy the new tier and IMVU prorates your remaining time onto the new expiry date. IMVU also sells quarterly and annual plans.
Can I pay for VIP with a gift card?
IMVU says gift cards can be used for quarterly or annual VIP plans. See IMVU’s article on gift cards and VIP before buying.
