You can delete your IMVU account yourself from Settings on the website or in the app. IMVU gives you two choices: deactivate, which you can undo for 30 days, or delete, which is permanent after a few days.

Delete your account on the IMVU website
- Go to imvu.com, click your picture in the top right corner and choose Settings.
- Scroll down to the Others section and click Delete Account.
- Choose Deactivate Your Account or Delete Your Account and click Next.
- Enter your IMVU login again.
- Enter your two-factor code if you use 2FA.
- Click Deactivate or Delete to confirm.
Delete your account in the IMVU app
- Tap the gear icon in the top right of the main menu to open Settings.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Choose Deactivate or Delete and tap Next.
- Enter your login and your 2FA code if asked.
- Tap Deactivate or Delete to confirm, then tap OK.
Before you delete
- Verify your email first. The reactivation link is sent there.
- Cancel VIP so you are not charged again. See how to cancel IMVU VIP.
- Accounts that signed in with Apple or Facebook come back as a regular IMVU login if you reactivate.
